Dale Farm has been announced as a new sponsor of the Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend, further strengthening support for one of Northern Ireland’s most popular farming events.
Organised by the Ulster Farmers’ Union, Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend will see farms across Northern Ireland open their gates to school children, families and the wider public, offering a unique opportunity to experience life on a working farm and learn more about how local food is produced.
As a farmer-owned dairy cooperative, Dale Farm’s involvement highlights the strong connection between farmers, food production and the local community. Visitors to the Open Farm Weekend will have the chance to follow the journey from farm to fork, meet the farmers behind the produce, and gain a greater appreciation for the care, expertise and sustainability that go into producing high-quality food.
Caroline Martin, Head of Corporate Marketing & Communications, said:
“As a farmer owned cooperative, we are delighted to sponsor BOI Open Farm Weekend. This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect our community with the source of local, responsibly produced food as well as providing an immersive and engaging experience on farm.”
Welcoming the new partnership, John McLenaghan, Deputy President of the Ulster Farmers’ Union and Chairman of Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend, said the sponsorship further strengthens the event’s mission to connect people with the realities of modern farming.
He said:
“We are delighted to welcome Dale Farm on board as a sponsor of Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend. As a cooperative owned by local farmers, they understand the importance of helping people connect with where their food comes from and the dedication that goes into producing it. Their support will help us continue to open farm gates across Northern Ireland, giving visitors of all ages the opportunity to experience farming first-hand and learn more about the journey from farm to fork.”
Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend continues to grow each year, providing an engaging and educational experience that celebrates Northern Ireland’s farming community, its commitment to high-quality food production, and the people behind it.
