Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend 2020 Postponed

Press ReleasesBy Grainne McGarvey

After the recent UK-government advice relating to the need to avoid mass gatherings due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend has regretfully taken the decision to postpone this year’s event that was due to take place mid-June.

We are working towards a revised date of later in the year, but as this is a fast-moving situation we are unable to be more exact at present, but will continue to monitor closely and advise when we have more clarity.

We recognise the excellent proprietary work our farmers, sponsors and partners have already undertaken, but with the timing of the predicted rise in cases, the safety of the public, our farmers and staff is paramount in our decision to postpone.

Being such a popular event, we know the public will be disappointed and we thank them for their patience and support. We will keep everyone informed in the coming weeks as and when we have updated information.
