Laurel View Farm is an experienced Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend host, having taken part every year since 2012.
What activities do you have planned for the weekend?
On Saturday afternoon, we will have many different farm animals and more to meet and find out about. Machinery old and new will be on display, so you can marvel at the changes. Then there will be a quiz and farmyard games to amuse. On Sunday there is even more happening, with countryside skills and more on show, archery to have a go at and pony rides to add to the fun. Opening times for the farm are 12.30pm to 4.30pm each day.
If there are farm animals on your farm, should we bring anything for them?
We have our own food that we give the animals, so please do not bring any food for them.
What should we bring on the day?
Depending on the weather, you may need to bring your wellies and waterproofs to stay dry or sun cream if it goes the other way. We will be selling food on the day so a packed lunch is not necessary unless you choose to bring one.
How do I get to your farm?
We can be found at 18 Knowehead Road, Templepatrick, BT39 0BX in Co. Antrim.
Please see our online map for info on how to find us, at www.laurelview.co.uk
Should we bring a packed lunch or snack, or will food be available?
You may bring a packed lunch if you wish, however we hope to sell burgers, ice cream and some other delicious goodies on the day.
Where will we be able to park? Is this close to your farm?
We have a good on-site parking facility right beside the farm, volunteers on the day will be able to assist in directing you to the nearest available parking spaces. The farm has hand-washing and toilet facilities which serve the equestrian centre based at the farm.
