McCullagh’s Farm, run by Michael and Kieran McCullagh near Omagh, is a progressive, family-run dairy farm combining traditional farming values with modern technology. Home to a herd of around 200 Holstein cows, the farm has embraced innovation through the use of robotic milking systems, allowing cows to be milked voluntarily throughout the day. This approach not only improves animal welfare but also supports higher milk yields and more efficient farm management.
Visitors to the farm will gain an insight into how technology is transforming dairy farming, from automated milking and feeding systems to real-time data that helps monitor herd health and performance. The result is a more flexible, sustainable way of farming that benefits both the animals and the people who care for them.
McCullagh’s Farm offers a unique opportunity to see modern dairy farming in action, hear first-hand experiences from the farmers, and better understand where food comes from in a welcoming, working farm environment.
Safety Notice: For the safety of our animals and guests, we kindly ask that no dogs are brought onto the farm, except for assistance dogs. Thank you for your understanding.
