Based between Carryduff and Moneyreagh, Mossbrook Farm owned by Moore & Jennifer Tweed is a beef and sheep farm.
Their beef suckler herd are primarily Hereford cross breeds, these cows have both a good nature & a good milk yield to feed their calves. The sheep side of the farm is Jennifer’s territory, she purchased a small number of orphan lambs approx 4 years ago and has used an Oxford Down Ram each year to produce lambs.
Mossbrook is also well-known for its home-baking and catering business, Farm House Treats.
Jennifer is usually found in the kitchen baking up a storm in the traditional way to supply weddings, birthdays and of course her three hungry children, Hilary, John and David and husband Moore with delicious traybakes, biscuits, cakes and scones.
Moore mostly works on restoring Land Rovers inbetween tending to the animals and maintaining the farm to its highest standards. They enjoy the build-up to Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend and making sure the farm is looking its best.
This family relish the opportunity to share their farm story with the public, educate them on their ways of working and ensure they have a really good experience at Mossbrook Farm!
