Castlescreen farm is a farm in conversion to fully organic certified with The Soil Associtaion located in just outside Downpatrick, County Down. Castlescreen Farm is a farm with many faces from producing award winning pasture raised dexter beef to wellness offerings such as equine facilitated learning with their miniature donkeys and goat yoga.
They produce dexter beef lamb and pork on the farm, butchered on farm and sold directly via a farm shop which is open daily 10am – 7pm or online via their website www.castlescreenfarm.co.uk.
Castlescreen delivers some wellness offerings which are very popular. The only provider of Goat yoga in Ireland it has been growing in popularity for many years now and is offered as open classes and also as a form of therapy/ healing. They are proud to work with many charities and also offer this as team building. You will get to meet their yoga goats on the day.
They also offer Equine facilitated Learning with their miniature donkeys. Jackie is a fully qualified equine facilitated practitioner.
At Open Farm Weekend you will have the opportunity to meet their indigenous pedigree dexter cattle (one of the smallest breeds of cattle in the world), pedigree Highland cattle, various breeds of sheep, miniature donkeys and yoga goats.
There will be self guided farm walks, activities and a play area.
