A training day was held for our participating farmers today at CAFRE Greenmount.
Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend Chairman Barclay Bell welcomed the farmers and a series of talks on farm safety, the Year of Food and Drink campaign and insurance were presented as well as practical tips and advice for hosting the general public.
Farmers were then given a tour of Greenmount’s Dairy Development Unit and Walled Garden by CAFRE staff to help inspire them with ideas of what activities and signage to include in their farms.
